Birthday Party

Playing with Baby Claire. She loves her uncle. And books, look at all her books. We love her.
Tim and Jordan were a little tired when my sisters and I were finishing up the dinner. How cute.
Yum Yum Yum Yum
Harrison is eating a tomato. He is doing really well using his tooth to chew up adult food.

On Friday we had a birthday party for Cat and I at Emily's house. Em made a yummy dinner and Annie made me my favorite cake. Chocolate Cake with Chocolate frosting with strawberries on top! There was present opening, game playing and picture taking! Thanks girls, I had so much fun.

Spring? Are you here yet?

Apparently it is spring. That is what the calendar tells me at least. Hmmm, I wonder why then has it just snowed, our why I am still wearing a coat when I go outside? When I grew up, and spring came, there were endless amounts of gorgeous flowers in my parent's yard, the grass was a dark soft green, and the weather was just perfect-no need to be hot (which I find very uncomfortable, when there is no way to cool myself down) and no need to be cold. Being Oregon, it would rain sometimes, but when it stopped you could smell that crisp and sweet sent of the earth and everything would glisten in the sunlight afterwards. Spring meant flowers, birds singing, garden planting, sports, intense house cleaning with mom ("Time to get rid of stuff. If you haven't used it in six months, throw it away"). I love home in the spring; who wouldn't love perfection?

TEXAS

This week I went to Texas to surprise Stephani for her baby shower. I was supposed to fly into Dallas but there was a tornado watch in the area, so I had to fly into Austin. I waited there for a few hours then finally flew to Dallas. Jack and Brooklyn were so cute! I am so happy I got to go and see everyone.

Aww to have no furniture

Here we go... we have no furniture. We have no coach, no coffee table, no real chairs, no book shelf, no dresser- just the floor and some comfortable blankets. Haha. I think everyone has gone through this in their life. We are saving so whenever I post that we got something is when we got something! It is kind of nice though because it has forced us to downsize in what we own. It has been fun shopping for all these things, not really shopping I guess, just looking. We are doing great though, grateful for a warm and safe home. Thanks Britni and Joel for the Texas camping chairs- what would we have done without them!

What to do at home all day

I enjoy being at home. I find things to do when I am here. Sometimes however, like on sundays, I have to find things for two people to do. A typical sunday in our home includes: Church, lunch, nap, maybe a cute movie, snacks, wii, and maybe a walk. Today, there was a lot of pacing going on from my husband, a quick look in the fridge, then pantry, a checking of the email, (5 times), looking at trucks on line that he wishes he owned, and another walk or two to the fridge. Luckily here in the U.S. holiday candy comes out months before that actual holiday, and guess what my favoite candy is? That right Reese's peanut butter cups. Especially the reese's easter eggs and christmans trees. They are just so much more fun to eat. So yeah, today we each had about oh...four or five. Sick huh- but OH SO GOOD. Not good to have yummy snacks in the house when there is nothing else to do!
