What to do at home all day

I enjoy being at home. I find things to do when I am here. Sometimes however, like on sundays, I have to find things for two people to do. A typical sunday in our home includes: Church, lunch, nap, maybe a cute movie, snacks, wii, and maybe a walk. Today, there was a lot of pacing going on from my husband, a quick look in the fridge, then pantry, a checking of the email, (5 times), looking at trucks on line that he wishes he owned, and another walk or two to the fridge. Luckily here in the U.S. holiday candy comes out months before that actual holiday, and guess what my favoite candy is? That right Reese's peanut butter cups. Especially the reese's easter eggs and christmans trees. They are just so much more fun to eat. So yeah, today we each had about oh...four or five. Sick huh- but OH SO GOOD. Not good to have yummy snacks in the house when there is nothing else to do!

How CUTE are they?

Need I say more? Heath and I love being around the little ones all the time. They are so cute. Harrison and his mommy were laughing and having a good time, I just had to take a picture. We go to Annie and Jordan's each thursday to watch LOST, but Harrison is already in bed when we get there! We like living down town. Emily brings Claire over every tuesday and we get to play together while Em works in the mornings. She loves is when Uncle Heath comes home for lunch- they work on rolling over. And as you all know now from Em's blog, she did it! Not at our house but she will tomorrow! Here she is attacking Heath's hand. We love these kids. Wish Asher, Ivy, Brooklyn and Jack could be here too to play. Claire and I take walks through the complex, not outside though because it is absolutely freezing here! She loves to watch out the window at the snow falling and wait at the elevator for Uncle Heath and Emily. Heath is going to Phoenix on Monday for work, so I am going to make a special Ikea trip hopefully and take my time to get some ideas for the house! I love that store! Now that we have the internet, I think blogging will be a more regular thing for us! Dad, we hope you had a wonderful birthday, and may your valentine's day be a happy one too! We love you. Thank you for all you have done for us!

Thanksgiving

  1. This is Brooklyn in her Judson Cheerleading outfit. We went to San Antonio the day after Thanksgiving to see Britni and Stephani. We went to see Joel (Britni's husband) coach the game at the Alamodome! It was fun fun fun. Steph and Nick bought a home, so we got to help them move in.

  2. This is Heath helping his dad build a car port onto their house. I just relaxed inside and helped Angie cook for Thanksgiving!

Perry, Heath, Buddy and I out behind their house, enjoying the warm weather!

Job Offers

So Heath got a job offer from the company in LA so we are so excited! Other offers might be an option in Salt Lake :) We don't know exactly which one we will be taking, a lot of prayers for us these next couple of weeks, but we will let you all know. We are so excited to go to Texas for thanksgiving! I can't wait to see everyone especially Brooklyn, Jack and baby Bailey :) We are stopping in Utah to see Emily and Annie and their cute families- we are so excited!

Christmas in Texas

So I don't think anyone from my side of the family ever got to see what I did for Christmas last year in Texas. It was so much fun! Angie, (my mother-in-law) decided to have each couple have a day that they planned things- this is a picture of the ginger bread house we made on Steph and Nick's day. It was so much fun. Heath and I did the "Clason" white elephant gift party and we did a Christmas murder mystery. Everyone dressed up in their character and we played. The game was set in the mountains at a ski lodge, so for dinner I made Chilli and cornbread. Britni ended up being the murderer! I am so glad Angie came up with that idea because everyone got to bring a little of their Christmas and share it with everyone.

Los Angeles

So this coming week is going to be pretty exciting for us. Heath is going to LA for a second interview with a Comercial Construction comapany called Hensel Phelps. He was chosen with five other guys from here, and will be leaving on wednesday for three days! That is going to be weird, seeing as we have never spent more than one night away from each other (and my sisters all know how well that went for me) haha. Hensel Phelps has done a lot of major building all over the country. There are students coming from different schools in California, so it should be fun for him. We are so excited that he has this opportunity. It will be great experience for him if he doesn't get it, because second interviews are something you need to keep getting bertter at, and great if he does! They have district offices in California, Colorado, Arizona, Texas... all places we are looking at living so if he does get the job, it won't be long until we could transfer. He has had a lot of other interviews, and more to come -so we have no idea where we will be in January- but that is the exciting part!
