Clason Reunion

A few weeks ago my family went down to southern Utah for our Clason reunion. Grandma and Grandpa Frank came, all of us Clason kids and our families (except Em and Tim.....cute baby Charlie was just born), and the Fonoimoanas were there as well. One of Dad's good friends from high school owns a ranch down there and let us stay in this beautiful lodge! We all fit- tight squeeze- but so much fun! John and Matt were the first in the row boat.....however....no ores were provided- so being Clason boys- they rigged some up with what was found on the ranch. They immediately began fishing. Nothing was caught until day 2 when John and Dan got them with homemade spears that night! So hilarious!
The paddle boats were a hit! All the kids loved them. Uncle Dan and Aunt Cat giving Harrison and Ivy a ride. So many rides!

Clason, Yates, and Howe cousins! Such a fun couple of weeks! We miss you Asher, Ivy and Canyon!

Southern Utah Part 1

Cat, Dan, Heath and I went down to Southern Utah this weekend and got to enjoy the beautiful weather and landscapes! Here are a few pictures in Zion.








The next day we went to the Redcliffs, as well as driving down to Moccasin and Fredonia AZ where my dad grew up....pictures to come.

Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday sweet Ivy! I hope you had a wonderful birthday. Your Uncle and I miss you so
much! Make sure you tell Mommy to take some good pictures! Wish we could be there with you sweet girl!

What is Easter?

My wonderful sister has been teaching her 2 year old daughter what Easter is truly about. She has taught her to say: "Easter is the celebration of Jesus Christ's resurrection." It is so adorable when she says it. Along with teaching her this phrase they have worked with explaining to her what it means and who we should think about during Easter season. This made me think about my feelings and testimony of Easter. I am forever grateful for the sacrifice my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ made for me, and the incredible miracle and blessing His resurrection is to all of us.

As members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints we can share this:

"How do we accept Jesus of Nazareth? We joyfully accept him without reservation as the greatest personage who ever lived on the face of the earth. We believe him to be the Messiah, the Redeemer. We glory in his mission and his doctrine. We delight in him as the firstfruits of them that slept. We worship him as the second member of the Godhead of three. We humbly come to the Father through him, believing his words. “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6.) A hallmark of a disciple is described in the words of the Master: “By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” (John 13:35.) We can ask, with Job, the age-old question, “If a man die, shall he live again?” (Job 14:14.) And the answering testimony is that Jesus Christ made the resurrection possible: “For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: “And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God.” (Job 19:25–26.) We testify with Isaiah that “his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” (Isa. 9:6.) Of the Resurrection we can declare with Paul: “O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?” (1 Cor. 15:55.) With the abundance of testimony, both ancient and modern, sealed by the witness of the Holy Spirit of God, we stand firm and unequivocating in our knowledge that Jesus of Nazareth is the resurrected Savior." - Elder James E. Vacation Time

This week: Vacation.
Two days of skiing with the in-laws, one day of temple-going, orchestra seeing, and one day of their help in the nursery!



Next week: More Vacation. Mom and Dad. Jessica and Gavin. Fun times.
